What do you eat?

OK, this week I'm going to try something a little different. This week I'm going to leave the post up to my readers.

The topic..."What do you eat?"

I'd like for everyone to post what you eat that helps keep you on track. Maybe favorite recipes or what you keep your pantry stocked with.

I thought this might help those of us who are getting burnt out on eatting the same ole same ole.

Ok...ladies....type away!!!

I keep fresh fruits on hand and snack on them constantly (bananas, grapes, oranges, tangerines, watermelon, canteloupe, strawberries, and apples) those are my faves. To make it easier to get in the habit of eating them, I always cut up the watermelon & canteloupes and put them in sealed bowls with lids in the fridge. Same thing with grapes, clean them and pull them all of the vine. That makes it so easy to just grab a handful or put some into a smaller bowl to take with you.
For vegetables, I buy lots of fresh ones (cucumber, squash, onions, tomatoes, sweet potatoes, bell peppers, avacados, spaghetti squash, corn on the cob, and the list just goes on and on). Same thing, prepare or clean them as soon as you get home from the store and it'll save you time later. Buy your lean meats, chicken, seafood, etc and portion it out so that it's easy to pull from the freezer, defrost, and cook. I use the outside gas grill ALOT - or at least my Geo. Foreman grill inside.
You might also try all the varieties of frozen "steam in the bag" veggies. MAny different combinations and super fast in the microwave.
Boil up some eggs and keep them in the fridge.. makes a quick snack to just grab a hard boiled egg.
Hope some of this helps.
Keep up the good work!
Love,
Valerie
